We built new mini-game and retro styled content and completed a web port of an existing tablet maths game. We implemented a teacher controlled API and tools for the classroom, integration into their online learning platform, as well as exciting new content to optimise the game for web platforms and lowend devices.

Teaching kids to code by changing a gameworld and its rules

We built a prototype to explore how coding in games could be used to envigorate and engage the teaching of the newly implemented Key Stage 4 computerscience curriculum in UK secondary schools.

This product focused on how young learner could learn basic computer scinece principles like, variables, comments, functions, conditional statements, and much more just by changing how the code on objects in a game behave so that they could power up a character in a "broken" game.

Educational apps connected to a cuddly toy monkey

Mobile app that connected a set of children's educational activities and games linked via a bluetooth transmitter inside a plushie toy.

Smart Monkey was launched in Portugal in November 2015. It is a plush toy that can connect with your mobile device through bluetooth. The App is free to download but only works when connected to the monkey. It is recommended for ages 2-6 but of course anyone can use it. It include 5 songs, 5 stories and several games to educate kids on numbers and the alphabet. It also includes a parents section with IAPs like extra music, stories and gear for the monkey.

We collaborated with Nerd Monkeys to help with writing libraries and plugins to automatically connect and create interactions with a "smart" device over bluetooth. This was end to end product development, initial concepting and R&D through to full implementation of a complex software and hardware integration project.
